Experience the thrills and spills of the Mighty Kaituna River as we take on the world-famous 7-metre Tutea Falls, the highest commercially rafted waterfall.
Together with your expert guide, your team will enjoy a 50-minute action-packed ride down 14 epic rapids in a tight and twisting warm water jungle canyon.
This is a white water enthusiast’s dream and is a must-do for adrenaline junkies and first-time rafters alike!
Then sink into the naturally heated geothermal spas at Hells Gate, renowned for their restorative properties. While you soak, take the chance to admire the native flora around you; you’ll soon feel rejuvenated inside and out.

Daily at 9 am, 11:45 am, and 2.30 pm. (We also offer a 4:30 pm tour in the summer months – self-drive only!)
You will receive your hot pool pass at our base after the rafting tour.

Our base is located on the banks of the Kaituna River and there are no long bus rides or waiting around in wetsuits! Arrive early and take a stroll down the beautiful Okere Falls Scenic Reserve walking track. With multiple viewing platforms of the river and its many waterfalls, it’s the perfect pre-rafting activity! Then head to the Polynesian Spa in the centre of Rotorua.

Swimwear, shorts, towel & a sense of adventure for the rafting. At the Polynesian Spa, you will need your swimwear and a towel. We recommend bringing an old pair of swimwear for the hot pool as the sulphur smell can be difficult to rinse out. Alternatively, you can hire them at Polynesian Pools for $5 per item.
